Don't get too profound, all they're usually looking for is potted biography e.g:
Where you are from
Where you went to school
Where you went to University and what you studied
A summary of your work experience (longer if it's relevant or you were/are a mature student)
Without bragging, highlight your achievements e.g. straight A's , awarded First/2.1 bearing in mind what the job requires
