To plan an effective strategy, you need to understand the graduate labour market. Many graduates are familiar with large companies (commonly referred to as 'Blue Chips') and the public sector and may know the recruitment methods and patterns used by them. However, almost as many graduates find employment with smaller companies (known as Small and Medium Sized Enterprises) so it vital to understand the recruitment practices used within this sector if you want to access the growing source of vacancies for graduates seeking employment in Scotland.
