Work permits
As an international student or graduate it is important that you know what work you are allowed to do whilst in Scotland. Many employers will not know what right you have to work, so you may have to explain the situation to them. The following websites are good sources of information about work permits:
www.workingintheuk.gov.uk This Home Office site aims to provide clear information about the various routes open to Foreign Nationals who want to come and work in the United Kingdom.
UKCOSA: The Council for International Education provides advice and information to international students studying in the UK. Their leaflet on working after studying in the UK is very useful.
