Team Presentations

Team presentations
If you are part of a team presentation, you should work with your co-presenters and
co-ordinate activities at all stages - including planning, preparation, practice and delivery.

This will ensure:

  • A logical sequence of delivery

  • No overlap and duplication, and a

  • Smooth transition when moving from one presenter to another

Planning, preparation and practice

  • Shared equally across the team.

  • Clear lines of responsibility.

  • Everyone should know what is required of them.

  • Practice is essential as problems can develop in relation to structure and transition between speakers.

Delivery

  • The introduction should cover the whole presentation - introducing the team members and what each member will talk about.

  • When transferring between speakers - the outgoing speaker should summarise their part of the presentation and introduce the next speaker stating briefly what they will be talking about

  • The incoming speaker thanks the outgoing speaker and explains in more details what they are to talk about.

  • The final speaker should deliver their section of the presentation and then summarise the whole presentation.
