Nerves
We all have nerves before a presentation.

A reasonable level will set the adrenaline pumping and help prepare you, but too much and panic will set in.

Try to work on how you can handle your nerves and turn them to your advantage.

There are many techniques for handling nerves such as:

  • Breathing, stretching and relaxation exercises. For example, try 2 minutes concentrating on your breathing

  • Visualising the audience out of context, for example, in sports gear rather than business suits

  • Establishing rapport with your audience as they arrive

  • Being properly prepared and rehearsed
