Preparing visual aids (contd) Using flip charts notes
Visual aids are important! Give them an appropriate level of priority, care and attention.

The rules for good visual aid design also apply to the use of flip charts.

Remember to test them prior to delivering the presentation - by rehearsing. Make sure they get the message across and can be read.

Additional points for flip charts to consider:

  • Prepare key charts in advance

  • A blank page inserted between two pages of written material is a useful device, which enables the presenter to reveal information to the audience at the appropriate point in the presentation.

  • Lightly pencil heading ready to write over
