Running a project 4

Running a project (contd) Phase 4

Phase 4 - Implementation
The project is now completed and is ready to be handed over to the client. The client will test the product/service before formally acceptance.

There may still be some actions, such as:

  • Documentation eg. training manuals

  • Training on the new product/service

  • Evaluation of the product/service

Internally you may need to:

  • Dispose of surplus materials

  • Reassign team members to other tasks

And finally evaluate the project and performance with your team.

When evaluating the project consider:

  • Timescales and scheduling

  • Budgeting

  • Specification and any additional work requirements

  • Performance monitoring

  • Any problems encountered

  • Any new techniques used

  • And 'What would you do differently next time?'
