Email 1

Email - the Do's and Don'ts
Email is now seen as fundamental part of business life.

As with other types of written communication, best practice in terms of email usage make it a much more acceptable and efficient communications tool.

Email Etiquette or Netiquette has been developed in response to the increasing use of email and to concerns that it may not be being used in the most appropriate or effective way.

Examples of Netiquette:

  • Treat people politely and with respect

  • Don't use discriminatory language or material

  • Don't send nasty or insulting messages - flaming

  • Don't use all block capitals - shouting

  • Don't forward other's private emails without permission
